Math 3 Updates
Dear Families, It has been a pleasure getting to know your learner. This week we began rotation. We learned the rules, routines and procedures of your learner's math class. We also did some team building and worked to build our classroom community.
We began discussing what it means to be a mathematician and how we use math in our everyday lives. We began prepping our math notebooks for note taking too. Third graders will become excellent note takers by the end of third grade! We introduced vocabulary like "digit" and "numeral" and prepped learners to delve into Unit 1- Place Value. We also reviewed the Essential Questions: 1. What can you contribute to our classroom community? 2. What does it mean to be respectful and responsible? 3. Why is it important to participate? 4. Why is it important to show what we know? 5. Why do we create classroom rules? 6. Why is math important? And so much more! We look forward to working with you this year! Ms. Rebecca and Ms. Ezell
