Math 3 Updates
For the remainder of the year we will be reviewing the most challenging concepts for third graders. We will review adding and subtracting decimals, time, and fractions. In regard to fractions we will specifically review adding and subtracting fractions, decomposing fractions and equivalent fractions.
You can help at home by reviewing counting by 5s with learners and asking them to practice telling time for you with an analog clock. Also, it's beneficial for you to use time measurement vocabulary as a model for students. For example, "it's a quarter past 3" or "it's half past five." Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. [email protected] [email protected]

Third graders complete their math portion of the food truck project and are ready to complete their final drafts in Humanities. This week we have also been reviewing decimals, learning about decimal place value and how to add and subtract decimals in preparation for ordering from other learner menus.
