4th Grade Science Updates
4th graders will act as survivalists lost in the forest and use their knowledge of magnetism to make a compass using a paperclip and a leaf. They’ll get to design their own investigation using magnets of various sizes and strengths. Later in the week, they’ll review for their benchmark and take their benchmark.

Fourth graders will investigate and record how much force is needed to break the magnetic force from two donut magnets. They’ll collect data and then graph their data from the day before and use the graph to make predictions. Later in the week, learners will make compasses using magnets and explore magnet mystery boxes. They will also watch a video about magnetism.
