This week, fourth graders will finalize their vermicomposting projects by looking at some of the vermicompost we’ve created in our bins, engage in peer editing, gather pictures and select their font for their page in our vermicomposting class book! Learners will also review for a unit quiz and take their quiz on Friday.
This week we’ll explore owl pellets! We’ll start with a read aloud and brainstorm. Then we will open up our owl pellets and try to reconstruct the skeleton inside to find out what the owl ate and where it fits into the food chain.
This week 4th graders will finish their Vermicomposting Class Book. They’ll take their research outlines and turn them into paragraphs. We’ll also continue our study of interdependence by looking at examples of seed dispersal. On Thursday we’ll perform seed dispersal tests to see how various seeds are dispersed. PLEASE SEND IN A VARIETY OF SEEDS by Thursday if you have a chance to collect some!
