math 5 Updates
Learners are prepping for their March Madness project which begins on March 12th (once brackets are finalized). In the meantime, fifth graders are learning about order of operations. We are using PEMDAS to help us remember order of operation. P = parenthesis E = exponents M = multiply D = divide A = add S = subtract. We use order of operations when solving longer equations. For example, 10 + 3(2 + 6) = 3 x 8 = 24 plus 10
