Learners will review order of operations (PEMDAS) and work to understand expressions.
For example, "4 times the sum of 6 and 2" or "3 times the sum of an unknown number c and 15" An Algebraic Expression.- An algebraic expression is a mathematical phrase that can contain ordinary numbers, variables (like x or y) and operators (like add,subtract,multiply, and divide). We also reviewed variables. Variable- A variable is a quantity that may change within the context of a mathematical problem or experiment. Typically, we use a single letter to represent a variable. Lastly, we are finishing up our March Madness project packets and continuously reviewing how to change fractions to decimals and percents.
