3rd Grade Science updates
Third graders will answer the question “How is the magnetic field affected when more magnets are added?” and collect data to predict the distance at which two magnets will attract a paperclip.
We’ll continue working on our new unit: Forces and Matter. Learners will explore magnetic forces, read about magnetism and gravity and work on graphing skills.
We’ll wrap up our last unit on water and climate and start our new unit on Motion and Matter.
Third graders will explore “What happens when water is mixed with other earth materials?”
Third graders will explore “How do people deal with natural hazards such as floods?”
Third graders will answer the question “How does surface area affect evaporation?”
Third graders will answer the question “What happens to wet paper towels overnight?” and explore the water cycle.
The third grade students will answer the question “What does the weather forecast tell us?” Students will compare the weather forecast to actual data.
